Oskaloosa Main Street

Coordinates all local program activities, committees, volunteers, and daily operations of Oskaloosa Main Street. 

The mission of Oskaloosa Main Street is to enhance downtown Oskaloosa as an attractive, unified, and economically sound commercial district by preserving the architectural heritage and communicating a positive image.

Oskaloosa Main Street is a proud partner of the Mahaska Chamber and Development Group focused on the heart of the community: downtown. Oskaloosa was first designated as a Main Street Community in 1986, making it one of the very first established programs in the state of Iowa. Today it is one of over 50 Main Street communities statewide and 1,200 across the country. 

The Iowa Children's Museum

January 2018 - June 2019


I overaw the museum's marketing and PR through:

  • Design and implementation of annual marketing plan within the museum’s budget.

  • Development and execution of comprehensive public awareness program to increase visibility and name recognition, leading to financial increases in earned and contributed income.

  • Creation and coordination of strategic community outreach that promotes The ICM throughout Iowa.

  • Partners with Director of Development to grow members into donors.

  • Oversees museum’s official website
    and social media presence.

  • Oversees Coral Ridge Mall Guest Welcome Center, guiding staff to exemplify outstanding marketing strategies for the museum, mall, and city of Coralville.

  • Serves as an ICM staff liaison with Board of Directors and leads Board Marketing Committee, setting meetings, agendas, etc.

  • Collaborates with Executive Director and Director of Development to achieve community relations goals. Increases financial stability of the institution to maximize resources and grow revenues from both earned and contributed sources.

  • Provided feedback to writers and artists when content and design were lacking.

  • Moved approved websites along to the customer for their review and the beginning of revisions.


Tweeted and pinned HP into the hearts and Facebook feeds of past, present, and potential residents.


  • Maintained multiple social media accounts for property management offices throughout Iowa.

  • Created and monitored Facebook ad campaigns.
